North East Lincolnshire Gold Standard for IAG

The North-East Lincolnshire Gold Standard for Information, Advice & Guidance

The North-East Lincolnshire Gold Standard for IAG was introduced in 2006 and many of the areas schools, colleges and young people's services worked hard to ensure they met its demanding requirements.

In 2010 the Gold Standard was updated to acknowledge national publications and changes in legislation since 2006.

The principles contained within the Gold Standard remain much the same as before but have been revised and re-ordered to ensure that the outcomes of assessment align with the publication 'Statutory Guidance: Impartial Careers Education' and 'Quality, Choice and Aspiration - A strategy for young people's information, advice and guidance' (both 2009) and also with Standards 1 to 11 of the national Quality Standards for Young People's Information, Advice and Guidance (2008).

We have added two new elements which look at the provision of careers education, information advice and guidance and enterprise and work-related learning in response to renewed statutory requirements.
