Additional Information: The Oasis Academy is part of a family of schools across the world and as such is a non-selective school open to pupils of all religious faiths and those of no faith.

Sixth Form Students play a key role in the life of the academy and have many opportunities to take responsibility and develop their skills and talents.

We aim to develop students into responsible young adults by providing enrichment and extra curricular opportunities that support their studies.

Areas in which students can participate are: Sport (including a personalised fitness programme in the fitness suite), Art, Fashion and Textiles, Finance Qualifications, Level 1 qualification in Youth and Community Work, enterprise, cultural awareness, leadership of the student councils and preparation for H.E.(UCAS)including residential taster days at universities.

We encourage our Sixth Form students to work with our feeder primary schools, to fundraise for local and national charities and to gain a mayor's award.

Tutorial sessions take place every week and follow a PSCHE, RE and careers based programme. Each term the students, with their tutor group, take a celebration assembly which celebrates the achievements of all Sixth Form students.

For both enrichment and tutorial sessions, Wednesday afternoons are set aside so that students are fully able to access these activities. We endeavour to make our students into rounded, employable individuals who can give something back to the local and wider community.
