About: It serves one of the most deprived areas in the Country with wards that feature in the bottom 1% most deprived areas in England. (English Indices of Deprivation 2004). Many of the young people whom it serves are from one parent families with third generation unemployment as a norm. Health statistics outline real concerns for the well being of the young people, with the school having the greatest incidence of dental caries in N E Lincs.

Additional Information: It is a fully inclusive school with an autistic unit fully integrated within the school. The school became a Full Service Extended School in 2004. A crèche, Family Support and Community Services are located on the school site.
The Academy has two specialisms - Sport and Health as well as Business and Enterprise.

The Academy offers a wide variety of sporting and cultural activities both at dinner time and after school.

Poetry, Chess, French, Young Enterprise Company, Debating Club, German.

On top of the Sporting and Cultural activities, home clubs, course work provision, revision sessions, drop in literacy, separate Sciences G.C.S.E are also available.
