Choices

Careers Advice
Information and links to useful information sources. This section includes ‘three things you need to know about careers advice’, as well as some useful background information before exploring the careers and jobs sections of Lincs2.
Career Information (JOBS4U)
There are lots of sources of careers and jobs information and Jobs4U is one of the most useful. It includes information on job families, indicators of salary / pay and specific information on basic entry requirements including qualifications and skills needed for specific jobs.
Connexions
Connexions is for you if you are 13-19, living in England and wanting advice on getting to where you want to be in life. It also provides support up to the age of 25 for young people who have learning difficulties or disabilities (or both).
Financial Support
Links to information on financial support at 16+ and 18+, including information on Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA), The Care to Learn Scheme (help with Childcare costs if you're under 20), transport costs, residential costs, learner support funds, dance and drama awards.
