Welcome to the most comprehensive and up-to-date information on learning opportunities in North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire

Information for Parents

Lincs2 - the North Lincolnshire & North East Lincolnshire E- prospectus jointly funded by the two Local Authorities and the Learning and Skills Council.  It includes a variety of essential information and has some very important and helpful features for all learners including adult learners.

Use of the prospectus is completely free but registration is required for use of the planning and application functions.  Registration enables the user to have their own secure space where they can compile a wish-list of the courses they are interested in and make electronic applications to the providers of their choice.  It also enables the learner to track the progress of their applications.

The information contained in the database is secure, monitored and managed by the Local Authorities and is no different to that currently provided by learners in printed application forms

Lincs2 includes:

  • A comprehensive list of all 14-19 provision in North and North East Lincolnshire
  • Course search and save functions
  • On-line application for admission to courses (e-CAP)
  • A comprehensive list of information, advice and guidance sources [IAG] with hyperlinks
  • Interactive progression pathways diagrams with LMI for 14-19 learners and parents
  • Careers and jobs information and links
  • Links to Fasttomato [currently used in schools] and other planning tools to help learners identify what they are good at and interested in as future career choices

Why is it necessary?

  • It is a statutory requirement to ensure that an e-prospectus is available to all learners by September 2007
  • To make impartial, high quality information readily available to everyone in North and North East Lincolnshire
  • To make the process of application straightforward
