InspireMe offers up to 13 weeks 1 - 1 support with all things jobsearch related including support to help people into work, education and training, identifyingtraining needs, jobcentre support, CV writing, using universal jobmatch, creating email accounts.

National Careers Service offer short term support to help people into work, education and training, careers advice, redundancy support, identifying training needs, jobcentre support, CV writing, using universal jobmatch and creating email accounts.

Community Learning offers a range of full and part-time learning programmes for adults as well as 16-19 study programmes, as well as small group and 1:1 educational packages for 16-25 year olds with SEN.

Community Learning provides opportunities to improve skills or learn new ones at various centres including local schools, Family Hubs, community centres and employers' premises.  We work with individuals to help them build their confidence and self-esteem.

The 16-19 year old Study programme at Community Learning is designed so that students can achieve a full qualification at Entry, Level 1 or Level 2 in Employment, Training and Personal Development.

A Study Programme within Community Learning prepares students for the next step in their career or further study.  We focus on developing skills in Maths, English and in our students’ chosen careers in a very individualised way.  We focus on the students’ chosen career path in pretty much every lesson and provide opportunities to develop skills in real life environments through our Enterprise and Work Experience units.

Community Learning also offers small bespoke and individualised learning for those students with SEN.  We offer small group based programmes at varying levels that are focused on the development of Skills for Life, and social development; alongside Maths, English and ICT.  To compliment this we also have a small group of learners who access our educational packages and 1:1 support off site.

Our provision is focused on supporting students to progress into adulthood successfully with programmes to meet their individual needs.  For more information or to book a visit to review our SEN offer please contact Claire Smith through the contact details above.

We also offer a bespoke Study Programme for students whose first language is not English, which enables a focused approach to developing spoken and written English in learners alongside developing their confidences.

Small class sizes, 1-1 support and understanding the barriers faced by learners offers the learner the opportunity to enjoy quality learning time.  This in turn, offers first rung pathways into further opportunities.

Our success rates are consistently above the national average. This success is built around dedication to our learners and offers a level of support to ensure they succeed and maximise their potential.

We understand that not everyone can commit to the usual September enrolment period, that is why we allow learners to enrol at any time. Drop by the Skills Hub on Freeman Street.

In addition to the courses, CLS offer programmes of support through offering information, advice and guidance to help with careers planning, CVs, interviews, completing application (for work, college or uni) and is contracted to deliver specific programmes to targeted client groups.
