City and Guilds Functional Skills English and Maths - Level 2

This course offers an excellent opportunity to gain a City and Guilds qualification in English and/or maths which are recognised by colleges and employers. This is a roll on/off course which can be started at any point during the year. There is a 3hrs per week per programme mandatory attendance requirement. Based on this you will expect to achieve within 6 months.

You will firstly work through an initial assessment to assess your current level of skills.

The English course will cover reading and writing skills in addition to speaking and listening skills. These are 3 final end of programme assessments.

The maths course will cover and everyday mathematic skill with a final assessment at the end of the course.

We operate a flexible booking system which allows you to fit study around your other commitments. Each study program will consist of learners working independently through computer and paper based activities with either an online or paper based assessment at the end.

No formal entry requirements. However you will complete an initial assessment and diagnostic, which will identify your current level of ability and dictate the level you will be enrolled onto. No formal entry requirements.

The English and Maths courses are as follows, however you may be reassessed if there is a gap in your learning to ensure you have retained your level of ability.
