Course Summary

This qualification is aimed at learners who would like to develop the knowledge and skills needed to use counselling skills and engage in a helping interaction appropriately. What you will learn Fundamentals of counselling practice through mandatory 4 units practical skills, theory of counselling, using an ethical framework and self reflection and development as part of the counselling process.

This course is distance learning with attendance at a workshop included as part of the course.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Students will receive a workbook to study from in their own time and periodic assessments to complete for each of the four units of the qualification. You will be given deadlines for each of the assessments. Teacher support will be available via email and phone.

Entry requirements

There are no specific prior qualifications needed to access this qualification. However, learners will require a minimum of GCSE English C grade or above or English Functional Skills at level 2.
