Gateway Essential Digital Skills Qualification Entry 3 - Level 1

This course is designed for people who have some experience with using a computer. Learners will gain a good understanding of how to use devices, creating and editing documents, communication, transacting and being safe and responsible online. You will start to become confident when using IT devices. Learners will acquire the skills necessary to increase employment opportunities across various sectors or progress to further levels.

This course consists of completing five modules. Using devices and handling information, Creating and editing documents, Communicating using relevant software, making online transactions and staying responsible and safe whilst online.

We appreciate that not everyone learns at the same pace therefore for this course learners will work through an online platform independently with tutors available to support when required. Learning is flexible as each learner will choose the time and days that they wish to study. Each learner must complete 3hrs of learning per week Expected duration to complete this certificated course is approximately 4 to 5 months though this is dependent on the skill of the learner therefore may be shorter.
