Gateway L2 Award in Digital and IT Skills

This course is designed for people who have some experience with using a computer. Learners will gain a good understanding of how to use Word software and PowerPoint software. You will start acquire the skills Word and PowerPoint skills necessary to increase employment opportunities across various sectors, progress within your current employment or progress to further learning.

This course consists of completing 2 units; Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint. Learners learn how to utilise different elements of the Word and PowerPoint software that will enhance their skills in these areas in addition to furthering their digital kills across the board.

We appreciate that not everyone learns at the same pace therefore for this course learners will work through an online platform independently with tutors available to support when required. Learning is flexible as each learner will choose the time and days that they wish to study. Each learner must complete 3hrs of learning per week. Expected duration to complete this certificated course is approximately 4 to 5 months though this is dependent on the skill of the learner therefore may be shorter. This is a portfolio assessed qualification.
