The free distance learning Level 2 Certificate in Creating a Business Start-Up course is designed for learners seeking the skills and knowledge needed to develop a business start-up.

You will learn elements such as how to start up a business, marketing a business, the legal and financial considerations and developing business plans.

Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions, which will be submitted to a qualified script marker to assess. These responses can either be handwritten in the assessment booklets or typed using electronic templates which are provided at induction. Candidates are issued with workbooks to assist with assessments.

You will be required to submit 2 assessments each taking 4 weeks to complete.

Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent. Please also be aware for this course, you will be required to complete an initial document; identifying the business you wish to start up before we can get you enrolled on the course.

If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.

We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.
