Course Summary
The free distance learning Level 2 Employability Skills course is aimed at anyone who wants to develop their skills and knowledge ready for the world of work.
This course is ideal for someone who is looking for a change in career, students who are either full or part time, long-term unemployed and someone who is going through or facing redundancy.
You will learn how to improve your confidence and communication skills ready for the working environment.
Course Details
The following units are covered in the free distance learning Level 2 Certificate in Employability Skills course:
Understanding Mindset
Business and customer awareness
problem solving in a place of work
Working in a team
Presenting information
Managing your time
ICT for employment
Interview skills
Health, safety and security in the workplace
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions, which will be submitted to a qualified script marker to assess. These responses can either be handwritten in the assessment booklets or typed using electronic templates, which are provided at induction. Candidates are issued with workbooks to assist with assessments.
You will be required to submit 9 assessments, 8 taking 1 week and 1 taking 2 weeks to complete.
Entry requirements
Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.
If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.
We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.
