Course Summary
This free distance learning Level 2 in Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings course is for anyone wishing to develop their knowledge and understanding in order to work with customers within the health and social care sector. You may work in, or want to work in, a range of health and social care specific and non-specific job roles, such as a receptionist, cleaner or retail assistant.
Communication is necessary in all professions, and health and social care is a large area where communication is very important. Learners who complete this distance learning health and social care course can gain an understanding of how to effectively communicate with customers and employees, understand the needs of customers in health and social care and understand the importance of teamwork and how this can greatly improve user experience in health and social care.
You will learn elements such as customer service in health and social care settings, customers needs, communication and teamwork.
Course Details
On the distance learning Level 2 in Customer Service for Health and Social Care Settings course, learners will gain an understanding in the importance of communication, how to improve the user experience for customers and what customers in health and social care should expect from employees.
Techniques are discussed in improving communication and what employees can do to ensure the customers are happy, service standards are exceptional and specific needs of customers are met to the best of the employee’s capabilities.
The following units are covered in the course:
Unit 1 – Preparing to deliver customer service in health and social care settings
Unit 2 – Understand the specific needs of customers accessing health and social care services
Unit 3 – Effective communication for health and social care
Unit 4 – Teamwork in health and social care settings
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions in a work booklet, either handwritten answers or completion of the assessment booklet using an electronic template which can be provided.
The course requires you to submit 3 written assessments and you have 4 weeks to submit each one.
Entry requirements
Although there are no formal entry requirements for the free distance learning Level 2 in Improving Service User Experience in Health and Social Care course, due to the nature and course delivery, you must be able to produce evidence of a minimum of a level 1 (GCSE Grade D) qualification in English literacy or a higher level qualification.
If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.
We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.
