Course Summary
The free distance learning Level 2 Principles of Team Leading course is suitable for those wanting to learn more about the skills and knowledge required to successfully lead a team. The course is suitable for anyone currently working in a team leading role or aspiring to working in a team leading or supervisory role.
On the distance learning Level 2 Principles of Team Leading course, candidates will learn units such as understanding business, how to communicate work-related information, managing performance and conflict in the workplace and equality and diversity.
Course Details
On the free distance learning Level 2 Principles of Team Leading course, you will learn the following units, ready for assessment.
Assessment 1
Unit 1: Principles of team leading
Unit 2: Understand business
Assessment 2
Unit 3: Understand how to communicate work-related information
Unit 4: Principles of managing performance and conflict in the workplace
Unit 5: Principles of equality and diversity in the workplace
Assessment 3
Unit 6: Understand how to develop working relationships with colleagues
Unit 7: Health and safety procedures in the workplace
Unit 8: Understand how to develop and deliver a presentation
How will it be delivered and assessed?
Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions, which will be submitted to a qualified script marker to assess. These responses can either be handwritten in the assessment booklets, typed using electronic templates, which are provided at induction, or typed using our fully online EQUAL platform. Candidates are issued with workbooks or online materials to assist with assessments.
You will be required to submit 3 assessments each taking 4 weeks to complete.
Entry requirements
Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent. It may also be helpful if you have experience of working in a team leading role or an environment where you have access to a team leader and policies and procedures relevant to leading a team in the workplace.
If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.
We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.
