Course Summary

The free distance learning Certificate in the Principles of Warehousing course is ideal for learners who want to enter and/or progress from entry roles in the Warehousing and Storage industries. This knowledge based course will support learners already employed in the sector, as well as those wishing to enter the warehousing and storage industry.

Learners will study the following units:

Health and safety requirements in a warehousing environment

The importance of customer service in the warehousing environment

Understand the principles of warehousing goods

Understand the process of stock checking and preparing goods for dispatch

Course Details

On the free distance learning Certificate in the Principles of Warehousing and Storage course, you will learn the following units:

Unit 01

Health and safety requirements in a warehousing environment

Unit 02

The importance of customer service in the warehousing environment

Unit 03

Understand the principles of warehousing goods

Unit 04

Understand the process of stock checking and preparing goods for dispatch

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions, which will be submitted to a qualified script marker to assess. These responses will be typed using our fully online EQUAL platform. Candidates are issued with online materials to assist with assessments.

You will be required to submit 2 assessments each taking 4 weeks to complete.

Entry requirements

Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.

If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.

We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.
