How will it be delivered and assessed?

Each candidate is required to give written responses to questions, which will be submitted to a qualified script marker to assess. These responses can either be handwritten in the assessment booklets, typed using electronic templates, which are provided at induction, or typed using our fully online EQUAL platform. Candidates are issued with workbooks or online materials to assist with assessments.

You will be required to submit 4 assessments each taking 4 weeks to complete.

It is important when applying for this course that you confirm that you have access to workplace policies and procedures as some of the assessment questions relate directly to a care setting. For example:

Identify who writes prescriptions for the people to whom you provide care.

Look at your workplace policy and explain the responsibilities of the person who has the authority to receive medication within your workplace
