The free distance learning Level 2 Understanding Nutrition and Health course is ideal for a wide range of learners with some existing knowledge of this area, who are interested in improving their understanding of nutrition and healthy eating. Parents, carers, catering staff and students may find this qualification of particular benefit.
You will learn modules such as, the principles of healthy eating, nutritional needs, planning a healthy diet, weight management and eating disorders.

The following units are the outline for this free distance learning Level 2 Understanding Nutrition and Health course:
Unit 1: Explore principles of healthy eating
Unit 2: Consider nutritional needs of a variety individuals
Unit 3: Use food and nutrition information to plan a healthy diet
Unit 4: The principles of weight management
Unit 5: Understanding eating disorders
Unit 6: Principles of food safety for the home environment
Entry requirements
Due to the nature and course delivery of distance learning we require all applicants to hold a minimum of English Literacy Level 1 or equivalent.
If you are between 19-23 years of age you must also have already achieved a full level 2 qualification (or higher) or 5 GCSE Grades A*-C/Grade 9-4.
We will require evidence of this in order to receive funding for you.
