Course Summary
DFN Project SEARCH is a life changing one-year Supported Internship programme for young people with an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan. It is targeted at young people whose goal is competitive employment in the community, within teaching and learning modules focussed on crucial employability skills learners will need to secure job placements. Roles could include various positions across the Humberside Police force, as well as positions within the team at North East Lincolnshire Council, and we will work with you to arrange a tailored placement to meet your personal needs and interests.
Learning4Life-Gy are the education provider for this course, and we will provide a full time tutor for the duration of the Internship, as well as an exciting curriculum linked to employability skills.

Course Details
This course is an excellent opportunity for young people with an EHCP to gain vital employability skills and experience various roles within different working environments, which will enable them to make informed decisions and access full-time paid employment. You will be supported by an Employment Tutor from Learning4Life-Gy for the duration of the course, and you will also receive support from a DFN Project SEARCH coach in the year post-completion of your Internship.
Entry requirements
• You must have an Education, Health and Care (EHC) plan
• You must be aged between 18 and 24 years.
• You must have the desire to achieve full-time employment
• Applicants will be required to go through an interview process to be offered a place on this course
• Enrolment on the course will be subject to relevant vetting clearance undertaken by Humberside Police
