John Leggott Humber offers students a fresh start. Based in the heart of Immingham, one of the UK's most important engineering and industrial hubs, our one-year programme is designed specifically for students who want to work with their hands, build a career in engineering, and gain the qualifications they need to succeed.

For nearly 60 years, John Leggott College has been helping students across North Lincolnshire achieve their potential. Now, in partnership with HETA and based at Oasis Academy Immingham, we're bringing that same commitment to excellence right to your doorstep.

Four-Day Week – Study Monday to Thursday in Immingham, with Fridays off to work, relax, or pursue your own interests.

Weekly College Days – Every Wednesday, travel FREE to our main Scunthorpe campus to access the full college experience, enrichment activities, sports teams, and trips.

Support When You Need It – Small class sizes and dedicated tutors who understand that everyone learns differently.

Grades 1-4 in Maths and English Language required.

John Leggott Humber, a new hub at Oasis Academy Immingham, offers a Fresh Start Programme for students who do not meet the GCSE requirements for an engineering apprenticeship. This programme provides a foundation year, enabling students to further understand what progression into the engineering industry will look like. The programme is designed in collaboration with HETA and will enable learners to, either apply with them, or continue their studies in engineering-related programmes at John Leggott College in Scunthorpe.
