Course Summary

If you want to join one of the UK’s most prestigious art and design courses, this Foundation Diploma is the perfect course for you. Designed to build on your knowledge and skills nurtured at Level 3, you will explore your creative vision while learning how to operate as a professional artist or designer, which will help you as you move forward in your career.

This is a post Level 3 qualification which occupies a full-time programme, starting at Level 3 and progressing to Level 4.

Course Details

This incredible full-time Foundation Diploma is divided into three key stages. In the Exploratory Stage, you’ll immerse yourself in creative skills workshops and challenges, attend inspiring artist talks and art galleries, and view artwork made on location, including exciting overseas trips to Amsterdam and Paris. Moving into the Pathways Stage, you will explore specialist project briefs and critical reviews while receiving dedicated portfolio support and expert guidance in preparation for your UCAS application. You’ll also have the chance to undertake a residential in Amsterdam. The last stage is your Final Major Project, which concludes with a public exhibition of your work.
