This course can be taken as a BTEC Extended Certificate (*), a BTEC Diploma (**) or as a BTEC Extended Diploma (***), so there is something to suit each learner’s choice of study programme.

There is also the option of our Health Cadets programme which offers learners the chance to work two full days in a placement, while working towards the BTEC Extended Diploma which is part of our Aspiring Health Professions. This is a fantastic opportunity and favourable for universities. As part of the Cadets provision we work with local Hospitals to offer a full two day extended work placement to provide a real insight into the Health provision as a career.

*if you are interested in the Cadets package, you will undertake an interview with both the college and the hospital.

As a college we have excellent links with a range of employers, meaning your work placements will be varied, giving you a real chance to sample different areas.

You could complement your studies with extended opportunities activities including School Experience, Sign Language or First Aid.
