About us
Learning4life-GY is a unique, registered, independent school for 14-19 year old learners, offering high quality bespoke education and training. We welcome learners from all backgrounds, abilities and areas. However, we specialise in the provision of English as an Additional Language and in the provision of individualised packages of education for learners with EHCPs.
Student support
Learner support packages at Learning4life-GY are individualised and ensure that all learners have appropriate provision in place to support them in preparation for their next stage in education, training or employment. The starting point of learners is thoroughly considered in the design of our Curriculum and additionally, in the support packages designed. As such, we work together with learners, the teaching and support team, and parents/ carers to create a package that works.
What makes us different?
Learning4life-GY widen participation in education and skills by supporting all our learners to transition successfully either back into mainstream school, into further education, adulthood or employment. Learning4life-GY provides a flexible, supportive and varied programme of delivery. In turn, Learning4life-GY actively hold high expectations in terms of behaviour, attendance and attitudes towards learning.
Transport
Learning4life-GY is situated close to Grimsby Town Centre and is equally accessible to the main bus routes within Grimsby and Cleethorpes.
Learning4life-GY also works collaboratively with North East Lincolnshire Council's travel trainers and Transport departments to ensure that appropriate transport is in place, relative to the needs of each learner.
Additional information
Learners at Learning4life-GY have the opportunity to develop their social and communication skills and to develop and maintain effective friendships in a small and community orientated environment.
