Anyone can access the Careers Gateway at any time, you don’t need a login.
Whether you are looking to Options at Year 8/9 or Options at 16+/18+ the Careers Gateway will help you get all the information you need about a wide range of local courses and opportunities.
You can search for something specific, compare courses, find a provider, and look up job profiles so that you can begin to plan your career. There is also lots of useful and inspirational information on the ‘Information and Inspiration’ pages to help you make the most of this site.
When it’s time for you to consider Your Future Choices at 16+ Lincs2 will help you to research all the options and then you can complete ONE application form and send it to the colleges and providers you are interested in. Once submitted your application can be tracked.
You can log in through “My Account” using the login details provided by your school or academy. If your school/ academy do not supply any account details you can register as a new user.
Completing your application form
Once you log in, you will need to complete all 5 boxes, remembering that this is the first impression a college or training provider will have of you.
Remember to use capital letters and full stops where they are needed. Spend time on your personal statement and consider what a college or provider might think when they read your statement.
Searching for courses
To search for the courses available select ‘Options 16+’. You can enter a course/ opportunity name in the search box; search by provider, sector or qualification.
When you find the course you are interested in add to your favourites. This can be found under the title of the course. (Please note: you can add as many courses to your favourites as you want without applying for them all).
Making an application
Once you are ready to make an application, click “Start a new application”. You can then make as many applications as you choose from your favourites.
Once the application has been submitted you can track the applications made with the provider through the system.
