Youth Voice

Youth Action

North East Lincolnshire has a Youth Council/Social Action group called Youth Action for 12-21 year olds. Youth Action meets twice per month to plan campaigns and actions to tackle the issues that are you.

Youth Parliament

The UK Youth Parliament is an organisation that enables young people to use their energy and passion to change the world for the better.

It is run by young people, for young people, with more than 600 elected members and deputy members, who work together to bring about positive change nationally as well as in their local communities.

Once elected, Youth Parliament members and their deputies organise events and projects, run campaigns, and influence policy-makers on issues that matter most to young people. They attend regular regional groups and meet together once a year at the UKYP annual sitting.

Once every two years there is an election for young people to become members of the UK Youth Parliament and represent North East Lincolnshire.

The current representatives for North East Lincolnshire are:

Zachary Steeles as Member of Youth Parliament
Max Kerrigan as Deputy Member of Youth Parliament

Young Reporters

Young Reporters is for young people aged 12-19 years who would like to write articles for the Grimsby Telegraph on issues they think are important. Young Reporters meet fortnightly to plan and peer edit the articles for a period of around 3 months and get 3 articles published in this time.
