What is a Warehouse Worker?
A Warehouse worker loads and unloads deliveries, picks and packs orders for delivery.
In this job you might:
- Receive deliveries.
- Check paperwork.
- Move items round the warehouse using forklift truck or other vehicle.
- Check stock levels.
- Pick orders from shelves and pack into boxes.
- Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
You need to be able to:
- Talk to customers and staff.
- Follow instructions.
The workplace and what it might be like:
- You might have to wear protective clothing.
- It can be cold in a warehouse and you may sometimes work outside .
- You might have to work high up or drive machinery.
