Our A Level Biology course follows the AQA specification, ensuring a comprehensive and detailed exploration of biology. You will delve into fascinating topics including

  • Biological molecules
  • Cells
  • Organisms exchange materials with their environment
  • Genetic information, variation and relationships with organisms
  • Energy transfers in and between organisms
  • Organisms respond to changes in their internal and external environments

How will it be delivered and assessed?

This course is assessed by 3 final 2 hour written exams including an essay and a stand alone practical endorsement.

Entry requirements

GCSE Grade 6 in Biology or Combined Science with a grade 5 in Maths and a pass of 4 or above in English. We will consider grades on an individual basis where those do not meet our entry criteria only where your average GCSE score is above 6.
