Applied (Biomedical) Science is your gateway to understanding how science works in the real world. This course brings biology, chemistry, and physics to life through hands-on experiments and practical investigations, all set in our fully equipped laboratories. You won’t just learn scientific theory – you’ll apply it to real-world and industry-based scenarios, developing the skills that scientists and employers use every day.

You'll get the opportunity to put your scientific knowledge into action by exploring real-world and industry-based scenarios. You’ll be assessed not just on what you know, but on how well you can apply your understanding to solve problems and carry out practical tasks that reflect real scientific challenges. The course takes a hands-on approach, with plenty of opportunities to carry out experiments and investigations in our state-of-the-art laboratories.
You’ll explore a wide range of topics, including the applications of organic chemistry, the physiology of human body systems, science investigation skills, and essential laboratory techniques.
