Childcare Level 2

This level 2 qualification aims to provide learners with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children up to the age of 7, with applied knowledge in the early years (0 – 5.) This qualification meets the Department for Education’s Level 2 full and relevant criteria for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner in the workforce. Additionally, you will also complete a Paediatric First Aid Qualification.

Level 2 – 3 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, preferably including either English or Maths

This course can lead to a range of exciting roles and further study, including:

Nursery or early years practitioner roles in schools, private nurseries or children’s centres

Progression to university to study Early Childhood Studies, Primary Education, or similar degrees which can be studied at the University Centre Grimsby

Jobs in education support, play therapy, or family outreach work
