This qualification is for people considering a career in health and/or social care with adults or children and young people. No placement is required for this qualification.

The course is assessed through a portfolio and units will be internally assessed.

There are no specific prior qualifications needed to access this qualification.

You will develop a knowledge of the types of jobs in these sectors and be introduced to some of the main skills required to progress into more advanced qualifications and to finally progress into work. The course is assessed through a portfolio.
