Plastering

This course is aimed at you if you are looking to work in the construction industry specifically as an advanced craft plasterer. It will provide you with a range of specialist technical practical skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training in plastering. This qualification is split into two pathways: Solid and Fibrous. You will have a choice of which specialist pathway you study. Both pathways cover health, safety and environmental issues faced on construction sites and how to communicate with others on the job, including supervisory skills such as planning, organising and pricing work. While there are no formal entry requirements, a Level 2 Diploma in Plastering or equivalent industry experience is recommended. Employer involvement is mandatory on this course and the College will help secure you a placement.

60% Assessment - Coursework 40% Assessment - Exam

Ideally at least 5 GCSEs at grade 9-5 or A*-C including English and Maths or a Level 2 qualification, but this is subject to discussion at your interview. If you haven't already achieved a GCSE grade 5 or grade C in English or Maths, then you will study either GCSE or Functional Skills English or Maths alongside your other qualifications.
