Course Details

Fieldwork and geographical enquiry are integral, allowing students to apply their learning in real-world contexts and develop conceptual understanding through hands-on experiences. At A level (AQA) we visit Cranedale Field Studies centre for 3 days to conduct a range of both physical and human fieldwork. Through the study of Geography students are encouraged to consider how the world and its many interconnections shape our environments; this will be done through 4 key principles: Geographical skills-select adapt and use a variety of skills and techniques to support interpretation and analysis of information,Human and Physical interactions to allow interpretation and evaluation, Scale local, national, global, Interpretation and analysis of Space and Place We aim to provide a supportive atmosphere that is both enjoyable yet challenging.
