Course Details
Studying Government & Politics provides a detailed insight into the rapidly changing world of British and American politics today, including the roles played by key individuals and institutions. You'll also have the opportunity to take part in the Politics Conference held at the University of Hull as well as visiting the House of Commons.
Politics at KEVIGS encourages students to:
Develop knowledge and an informed understanding of contemporary political structures and issues in their historical context, both within the UK and globally
Cultivate a critical awareness of the changing nature of politics and the relationships between political ideas, institutions and processes
Progress knowledge and an informed understanding of the influences and interests which have an impact on decisions in government and politics
Advance knowledge and an informed understanding of the rights and responsibilities of individuals and group.
Develop the ability to critically analyse, interpret and evaluate political information to form arguments and make judgements.
Further an interest in, and engagement with, contemporary politics.
