Anglian Water Alliances Construction Programme

This pre-apprenticeship skills programme works in collaboration with Anglian Water and its Alliance partners, providing a fully employer-supported multi-skill construction course.

This programme has been designed with the specific aim of attracting new talent into the utility sector, enabling learners to ultimately work for one of the Alliance’s companies as apprentices.

The programme is very hands-on, you will gain knowledge of a wide variety of subjects including; health, safety and welfare in construction, principles of building construction information and communication and construction site protection barriers.

During your time on this course, you will undertake in a work experience placement with Anglian Water or one of their partner companies.

Surveying,

Project management and scheduling,

Cable fitting and wiring,

Health and safety,

Principles of building construction,

Domestic drainage,

Cable fitting and wiring,

Critical thinking and problem solving,

Time management,

Constructing foundations, slabs and concrete paths,

Construction worker,

Builder.

There is the added bonus that all learners who successfully complete the sponsored Level 2 course will be guaranteed an interview for an apprenticeship with Anglian Water Alliances.

The course will be delivered in the professional workshops at the Grimsby Institute and students will undertake work experience during the course.

Students will be required to hold GCSE Math's and English grades 4 - 9 (or A*-C) .

Students successfully completing this course will be guaranteed an interview for an apprenticeship with Anglian Water or one of the partner companies.
