Course Summary

This qualification will enable you to further develop your bricklaying skills. It will provide you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills, including health and safety and environmental issues relating to construction.

Course Details

  • Exploring health, safety and welfare in construction
  • Construction drawing techniques
  • Set out masonry structures
  • Erect masonry structures
  • Sustainability in the construction industry
  • English and Maths (if not achieved at grade 4)

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Work experience forms a large part of the study programme. You will need to complete over 300 hours off-site work experience. You will be expected to secure this prior to commencing the course if possible.

Entry requirements

You will need to complete the Level 1 Bricklaying qualification before commencing this course.

Equipment required

Warm clothing and hard-wearing trousers for outdoor/workshop practicals. Hard hat.Steel toe capped boots. Hi-vis bib (optional)
