Music Level 1

This course will be based in the Grimsby School of Art at Nuns Corner and will cover a range of Creative Arts subjects with a view to specialising in one subject later.

The course will include aspects of Music and performing arts - all aspects of performance will be covered. This will give students an idea of what all the subjects include to help them decide what to study further.

When you do a vocational qualification you will learn in a workshop, salon or studio as appropriate for your subject and you will usually be assessed through practical assessments, projects, assignments and oral and written questions. There may be exams in some subjects and your tutor will prepare you for these.

Entry requirements for our courses depend on the specific requirements of each Programme of Study and an individual’s previous experience, which will all be discussed during the interview process.
The following is a guide as to what you might be expected to achieve to gain entry on to a particular level of a course

GCSEs grade 1-2 or equivalent

Successful students may progress onto the next level in their chosen subject, into employment or an apprenticeship, or, after a level 3 qualification, to Higher Education at the University Centre Grimsby or other other University.
