Course Summary
A-level Business helps students to develop a critical understanding of the functional and strategic decision-making within a wide variety of business contexts. The initial focus explores the purpose and nature of business and goes on to examine managing the four functional areas of marketing, finance, operations and human resources. A more strategic perspective follows, with students analysing how businesses evaluate their position to plan appropriate strategies for pursuing aims and objectives. Throughout, students are encouraged to link theory to contemporary business issues and case studies.
