Course Summary
The A-level History course allows students to examine a broad period of time, from the rise and rule of the early Tudor Monarchs to the development of civil rights in the USA. Students will further develop their skills by evaluating contemporary historical sources through the use of both provenance and contextual knowledge. They will also be introduced to a range historians’ views which they will test to form complex, substantiated judgements. These represent key transferable skills, essential for other professions and courses of study.
