Course Summary
A-level Spanish enables students to enhance their language skills and broaden their Spanish knowledge to be able to communicate effectively in different contexts. Topics studied include: Hispanic family values, regional identity within Spain, cultural heritage, racism, immigration, and dictatorships in the Spanish-speaking world. Students read two literary texts; a novel and a play, learning to discuss and analyse these in essays. The speaking exam, as well as featuring the topics studied, also includes a presentation by the student on a Hispanic topic of their choice.
